Regain Confidence and Mobility at STL Pain & Physical Therapy Center – Bridgeton, MO

What is Balance & Ambulation Training?

At STL Pain & Physical Therapy Center, we understand how vital balance and proper walking (ambulation) are to your daily independence. Whether you’ve experienced a fall, neurological condition, joint pain, or are simply feeling unsteady, our Balance & Ambulation Training program is designed to help you regain control, reduce your risk of falls, and improve your quality of life.

Our therapists perform a thorough assessment of your walking pattern (gait) to identify abnormalities or weaknesses that may increase your risk of falls or discomfort during movement.

Using advanced balance platforms and challenging exercises, we work to strengthen your balance control, coordination, and proprioception (body awareness). These activities help improve your ability to react to changes in your environment and prevent falls.

For patients who need assistive devices such as canes, walkers, orthotics, or prostheses, we provide hands-on training to ensure proper and safe use. We also offer guidance on managing these devices for daily activities.

Our goal is to reduce your risk of falls through targeted therapy, education, and home safety recommendations.
